Matthew 18: 1-4 ”The Conditions for Greatness”

The disciples asked Jesus "Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?"  Today, Pastor Anthony helps us to see and understand what we must do to achieve greatness and inherit the Kingdom of God.  

Matthew 17: 24-27 ”Good Citizenship”

 It was Jewish law that a tax would be collected to help with the expenses of the temple.  Even though Jesus is supreme over the temple tax, He sent Peter to pay it by commanding him to go to the sea, cast a hook and take the first fish that comes up.  There Peter would find the piece of silver needed to pay the tax.  We need to follow Jesus' example to be part of the church.  Pastor Anthony helps us to understand these passages today, listen to his sermon and learn what we can do to be good citizens too.

Matthew 17: 22-23 & Colossians 3: 1-4 ”The Reminder”

These passages explain to us that we should be setting our sites on heaven and thinking about the things of heaven.  As christians we are dead to this life, we have been raised from the dead with Christ, Jesus paid our debt with His death and sinless life.

Matthew 17: 14-20 ”Strength for Service”

Pastor Anthony asks us today if we have strength to serve.   In these passages from Matthew, we learn that the disciples were unable to heal a possessed boy.  Jesus points out that their faith was not strong enough to cast the devil out of him. 

We need to seek God with all our hearts and do what He tells us to do.  Listen to this sermon to learn to trust God and help others - once we do, there will be no limit to what we can do in Christ.

Matthew 17: 1-13 ”Glory Gives Strength”

Pastor Anthony teaches us today that when we spend time seeking God we receive His Grace.  In these passages, we learn that Moses and Elijah appeared to Jesus on the mountain, they came to encourage Him and to prove to the disciples that Jesus was the Son of God.  Learn what we need to do to accept God's invitation to be His children.

Matthew 16: 21-27  "Levels of Faith - Part 3" - Jesus said to His disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow Me".  In these passages, Jesus tells us how to save our souls.
Do you have serving faith?  Do you ask yourself "What can I do to serve the Lord?"

Matthew 16: 13-20 ”Levels of Faith - Part 2”

In today's bible verses, Jesus asks Simon Peter "But who do you think I am?"  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God".

Pastor Anthony speaks about saving our faith in today's world, that the world's opinion of Jesus doesn't change the truth.  This world has never been unanimous on it's opinion of Jesus, most of the world believes He was a great man but not necessarily the Son of God.  This sermon helps us to understand how our faith is used to build the church.

Youth Pastor Will Hall delivers today’s sermon about prayer.  In these passages, Jesus prays to His Father on the Mount of Olives while He is under a great deal of stress knowing what He was about to endure.  

Will points out that these passages teach us when to pray, how to pray and why we need to pray.  God’s will is for us to be like Christ and pray for what we need.  He will give us the strength we need to get through a trial.

Proverbs 17:28 "The Tongue Of The Christian"

Youth Pastor Will Hall delivered a sermon today that should be taken to heart by so many people in today's world.  There are numerous references in the bible, both old and new testaments, about controlling our tongues.  In Proverbs 17:28 God wants us to control our tongues.  James 1:26 states that any who worship God but cannot control their tongues, then they worship in vain.  Pastor Will continues to show us additional bible passages that teach us how powerful the tongue can be.
